SunCoke Energy reported Q2 2026 earnings of $0.15 per share, nearly doubling the consensus estimate of $0.08 — an 87.5% beat. Revenue also came in well ahead of expectations at $475.3 million versus the $446.85 million estimate, a roughly 6.4% beat. The Phoenix Global acquisition was a key driver, boosting the company's Industrial Services segment, while coke capacity ran at 100% utilization during the quarter.
The strong performance gave management enough confidence to raise its full-year outlook. SunCoke lifted its Adjusted EBITDA guidance to a range of $250 million to $265 million and its free cash flow guidance to $150 million to $160 million. Those are meaningful upward revisions that signal the company expects the momentum from both its core coke operations and the newly integrated Industrial Services business to hold through the rest of the year.

Looking at the recent earnings history, Q2 2026 marks a sharp recovery from a rough stretch that included a Q2 2025 miss — where SunCoke reported just $0.07 against a $0.15 estimate — and a Q4 2025 loss of $0.1083 per share against an estimate of $0.10. The back-to-back beats in Q3 2025 and now Q2 2026, both at $0.36 and $0.15 respectively versus well-below estimates, suggest the Phoenix Global integration and full utilization of coke capacity are providing a more durable earnings floor.
