Management now expects at least $14.5 billion of Subsea orders over the next five quarters, the clearest sign yet that the deepwater cycle has years left to run. TechnipFMC topped expectations on both lines and added 2027 Subsea revenue guidance.

TechnipFMC posted adjusted earnings per share of $1.05 for the third quarter of 2026, beating expectations and extending a run of beats to five consecutive quarters. Revenue grew 9.4% from a year earlier, also topping forecasts.

The Subsea segment did the heavy lifting, with revenue rising 12.1% year over year on integrated iEPCI projects in Indonesia and Brazil and stronger services activity. That execution helped net income climb 35.1% year over year.

Management raised full-year 2026 Subsea revenue and free cash flow guidance, separating this quarter from a routine beat. It also introduced 2027 Subsea revenue guidance of $10.0 to $10.4 billion, the first time it has offered that visibility.

CEO Doug Pferdehirt said Subsea orders over the next five quarters are expected to reach at least $14.5 billion, with the Subsea Opportunities List growing for a ninth consecutive quarter. He also described a new Strategic Collaboration Agreement with PETRONAS naming TechnipFMC its deepwater development partner, and a memorandum of understanding with bp to serve as preferred supplier of 20K systems for the Paleogene program in the Gulf of America.

Total inbound orders fell 14.9% sequentially, and the Subsea book-to-bill came in at 0.8x, meaning the segment consumed backlog faster than it replenished it. Surface Technologies revenue also declined year over year. Investors keeping an eye on the stock should weigh those order trends against the multi-year guidance.
