Teledyne reported Q2 2026 earnings per share of $6.28, clearing the $5.79 consensus estimate by about 8.4%. Revenue came in at $1.66 billion, also ahead of expectations by roughly 5.3%. The results extend Teledyne's beat streak to five consecutive quarters, a run that stretches back to Q2 2025.

The standout driver was the Digital Imaging segment, which is heavily oriented toward defense customers and posted 12.7% growth in the quarter. That segment's momentum gave management the confidence to raise full-year EPS guidance. Underpinning that outlook is a funded backlog of $5 billion, which provides tangible visibility into future revenue.
