Texas Pacific Land posted Q3 2026 earnings of $2.42 per diluted share, exceeding expectations on both earnings and revenue, with revenue up 34.6% year over year as the underlying Permian Basin business accelerated.

The standout driver was a recovery in natural gas realizations, which jumped to $2.40 per Mcf from just $0.40 in the prior quarter. That swing powered record oil and gas royalty revenue and helped lift royalty production. CEO Tyler Glover called the results the strongest in the company's history, citing new records in revenue, net income, and free cash flow.

Easement and surface income reached $36.18 million as operators pushed midstream infrastructure buildout across the company's Permian acreage. Produced water royalty volumes also rose to 5,541 thousand barrels per day from 4,872 thousand barrels per day the prior quarter, contributing to what management described as record produced water royalty revenues.

Beyond the core royalty business, the company is commissioning its Phase 2B desalination facility in Orla, Texas, targeting roughly 10,000 inlet barrels per day, with a larger Phase 3 facility of approximately 100,000 barrels per day planned for 2027 and beyond. It also struck an agreement with Chevron to supply land and brackish water for Project Kilby, a power generation facility in Reeves County supporting a data center, and completed $122.7 million in land acquisitions tied to data center and power generation initiatives.

The company did not provide numerical guidance, but management said its data center, power generation, and desalination efforts are advancing toward meaningful commercial outcomes. It also flagged more than $250 million in renewal revenue from term easements executed between 2016 and 2025, a figure that underscores how the land portfolio continues to generate recurring monetization opportunities well beyond its current quarter results.
