United States Lime & Minerals posted Q2 2026 revenue of $99.1 million, coming in about 8% below the $108 million analysts had expected, and EPS of $1.20 fell roughly 8% short of the $1.30 consensus. It marks the third consecutive quarter the company has missed on both lines, with weak roofing demand cited as the primary drag on results.
The picture is not uniformly downbeat. Stronger volumes in construction and steel — two of the key end markets for lime and limestone products — provided some offset during the quarter, and revenue of $99.1 million still represents a meaningful step up from the $87.8 million reported in Q1 2026. That sequential improvement suggests the business retains some underlying momentum even as one segment underperforms.

The clearest near-term catalyst to watch is a new kiln coming online in Texas this summer. Additional production capacity could help the company meet demand if roofing activity recovers or if construction and steel volumes continue to build. Whether that capacity expansion translates into a return to beat territory will be a key question heading into the Q3 2026 report.
