Upstart just set its second fresh 52-week low in under two weeks, closing at $22.74 on October 14 and undercutting the October 2 floor. That cadence points to sustained selling pressure.
The successive lows have compressed Upstart's market capitalization to roughly $2.2 billion, far below the valuations it commanded during the fintech boom. Each breakdown removes another support level for buyers to defend.
The stock has shed more than half its value from its peak in the trailing 52-week window, with the decline accelerating as prices sliced through the mid-$20s range that had briefly offered stability.
For holders, the question is whether $22.74 becomes a base or merely another waypoint lower. The October 2 low offered no lasting support, which makes any near-term bounce harder to trust.
