Elon Musk amplified a video from matt palmer on September 30 detailing three new capabilities inside Grok Bot, and the one that stands out for investors is the Plaid integration, which lets the bot search and manage a user's finances directly inside the chat.

The Plaid hookup puts Grok Bot squarely inside territory long held by personal finance apps and enterprise assistant platforms, giving xAI a live connection to users' bank data.

Team bots allow organizations to create bots shared across members, extending Grok's reach from individual users into workplace workflows where stickiness and switching costs are far higher.

Voice calls round out the update: the bot can search chats during an active call and handle interruptions without losing context, a capability that moves Grok Bot closer to always-on assistant products. The post drew nearly 1,477 likes within hours of going live.

It COULD be an okay idea, but how old is she, and have either you or her done the actual math on this? > The rest of her money is stuck in some investments a family member talked her into. 143 comments and the crowd barely cares about the bond plan: the unexamined 60% sitting in investments a relative sold her is the real exposure. Locking a decade of income at a fixed rate only works if you know what the other side of the portfolio is doing.

A 401k is a benefit even with no matching. The only reason to avoid it is if it only had horrible high cost funds or super high fees or something odd However almost all 401k plans I have seen usually have some good index funds. I personally would ask them why they advise against it lol

HR told new hires to skip the company 401(k), and 120 commenters mostly disagree: no match still leaves the tax break, and an unmatched 401(k) beats a taxable brokerage once a Roth IRA and HSA are funded. The only real dealbreaker is high fees, so ask for the fund lineup.
