Market strategist Puru Saxena posted on October 25 that the stretch from the post-midterm period through the end of June has been positive every time in the historical record, a streak he attributes to the removal of political uncertainty that typically weighs on equities heading into an election.

Once voters have decided, the policy fog that keeps institutional money on the sidelines tends to lift, and that unlocking of sidelined capital has historically pushed returns sharply higher across the period.

With the midterms days away, investors holding excess cash face a specific timing risk: if the pattern holds, the most meaningful entry window opens almost immediately after election results are in.

Saxena's supporting chart, sourced from @optionflys, is drawing attention from a wide slice of the market community.
