Chips and hardware took the top five slots at Thursday's close, led by ON Semiconductor's 5.52% gain, while every big decliner but one was a cybersecurity name. Zscaler's 9.88% drop to $193.43 was the worst in the group.
Latest Activity
Zscaler finished Monday up 16.8% at $192.17 while Coherent shed 12.5%. Four of the top five gainers are cybersecurity names, and four of the five losers are chip and infrastructure plays.
A 9.2% intraday jump to $188.41 adds roughly $2.6 billion to a $30.7 billion market cap in a single session, a rare one-day move for this name. No confirmed explanation yet, so keep an eye on whether the gain holds into the close.
A tenth straight EPS beat came with a catch: FY27 revenue guidance of $3.91 billion to $3.94 billion implies growth slowing to roughly 17% from 25% this year as the Red Canary contribution laps. Record 24% non-GAAP operating margin and ARR up 25% to $3.77 billion are what bulls will point to.
Buyers are pushing Zscaler up 3.91% to $179.48 hours before it reports earnings after the close, so anyone waiting for the numbers is already paying up. Guidance is the swing factor from here.
Super Micro Computer closed 9.17% higher at $38.40, the biggest gain across our 111-stock priority list Monday. Hardware, nuclear and crypto names filled out the top five while software took the damage, Rubrik down 6.59%. Watch whether that split survives the open.
A $10,000 bet on Zscaler's 2018 IPO day is worth more than $50,000 eight years later. Getting there meant sitting through a drop from six figures in late 2021 and another steep slide this spring.
