Did GOOG Beat Earnings? Q1 2026 Results

Revenue climbed 21.8% year over year to $109.90 billion, edging past the $107.03 billion consensus by 2.67%, as broad-based strength across Google Services and an explosive performance from Google Cloud, which grew 63% to $20.03 billion fueled by enterprise AI adoption and infrastructure demand, powered the quarter. Operating income rose 30% to $39.70 billion, lifting operating margins to 36.1%, while net income of $62.58 billion reflected a substantial boost from $36.91 billion in unrealized equity gains. “2026 is off to a terrific start. Our AI investments and full stack approach are lighting up every part of the business. Search had a strong quarter with AI experiences driving usage, queries at an all time high, and 19% revenue growth. Google Cloud revenues grew 63% with backlog nearly doubling quarter on quarter to over $460 billion. This was our strongest quarter ever for our consumer AI plans, driven by the Gemini App. Overall the number of paid subscriptions has now reached 350 million, with YouTube and Google One being the key drivers.
