About First Internet Bancorp

First Internet Bancorp (Nasdaq: INBK) is the bank holding company for First Internet Bank, which opened in 1999 as an early branchless, entirely online state-chartered, FDIC-insured bank. The Company had $5.9 billion in assets at September 30, 2026.

The bank gathers consumer and small business deposits nationally through digital channels. It supplements that base with Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) fintech partnerships, offering program sponsorship for deposits, payments, cards/BIN and embedded lending over ACH, FedNow and RTP rails.

It deploys those funds into specialty lending channels:
- Investor commercial real estate and construction
- Single tenant lease financing
- Public finance for government and not-for-profit entities
- SBA 7(a) small business lending, with gain-on-sale and servicing income
- Specialty consumer lending (trailers and recreational vehicles)
- Regional commercial and industrial and owner-occupied CRE lending, including emerging wealth advisory, equipment finance and embedded finance verticals
- Treasury management services

The bank is running off previously exited portfolios in franchise finance, residential mortgage and healthcare finance. It sold $850 million of single tenant lease financing loans to Blackstone in 2025. Revenue comes mainly from net interest income, supplemented by SBA gain-on-sale, loan servicing and growing fintech fee revenue. The stock is a component of the Russell 2000 Index. Updated
