About Upstream Bio

Upstream Bio is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing treatments for severe inflammatory respiratory diseases. Its sole clinical candidate, verekitug, is the only known antagonist currently in clinical development that targets and inhibits the receptor for thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), a cytokine that drives inflammatory response upstream of multiple inflammatory pathways. Verekitug is being developed for three target indications: severe asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP), and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The company's development strategy is focused on delivering best-in-class efficacy with convenient quarterly dosing. More than 500 participants have been treated with verekitug across clinical development programs, with positive Phase 2 results demonstrated in both severe asthma and CRSwNP. The company is preparing for Phase 3 trials in severe asthma and CRSwNP expected to begin in Q1 2027 and has completed enrollment in a Phase 2 COPD trial. Upstream Bio generates minimal collaboration revenue and is pre-commercialization, relying on its cash reserves and capital markets to fund ongoing clinical development. Updated
