According to MacDailyNews, Apple’s (AAPL) Mac is gaining share at a fairly rapid pace. The firm doing the measurements, Net Applications, may have a strange way of collecting the data which is based on OS information collected over the internet and not actual computer sales:
"The results are based on a survey of browser visits to some 40,000 URLs" reports the Business 2.0 blog.
While the methodology may be fishy, if its is accurate, the MAC share of total personal computers has gone from 4.3% worldwide last August to 6.4% last month.
Not bad, if its true.
