The consumption and housing sectors were hit particularly hard, as should be expected due to other data on each portion of the economy.
There is nothing profound or illuminating about the study. It merely confirms the conventional wisdom. The economy slowed sharply in June which means that Q2 GDP may be no better than 2%. The current quarter could be even worse if unemployment and housing make no recovery. It is not a double dip, but is getting closer
