Asia Markets 12/7/2006 Canon, Sharp Up Sharply, China Mobile Down

Asian markets were mixed.
The Nikkei was up .6% to 16,473. Bridgestone was up 2.9% to 2625. Canon was up 3.1% to 6340. Daiwa Securities was down .1% to 1334. Fuji Film was down .4% to 4720 Hitachi was up .9% to 688. Honda was up 1% to 4060. Japan Tobacco was up 4.8% to 529000. NTT was down .2% to 584000. Docomo was down 1.1% to 570000. Sharp was up 3.3% to 2010. Softbank was was down .4% to 2475. Sony was up .7% to 4610. Toshiba was up 1.4% to 749. Toyota was up .7% to 7030. Yahoo Japan was .6% to 47350.
The Hang Seng was off 1% to 18,843. Cathay Pacific was down .5% to 18.7. China Mobile was down 2.5% to 62.95. China Netcom was down .2% to 17.12. HSBC was down .7% to 141.1. PCCW was down .6% to 4.82.
The KOSPI was down .2% to 1,410.
The Straits Times was up .2% to 2,902.
The Shanghai Composite was flat at 2,157.
