Asia Markets (10/29/2009) Nikkei Below 10,000; Shanghai Below 3,000

chinaMarkets in Asia fell sharply.

The Nikkei fell 1.8% to 9.891, Mitsubishi UFJ (NYSE:MTU) rose.

The Hang Seng fell 2.7% to 21,173. HSBC (NYSE:HBC) and PetroChina (NYSE:PTR) fell.

The Shanghai Composite dropped 2.3% to 2,850.
