Interdigital, Inc. (NASDAQ: IDCC) is up 23.5% before market open to $51.55, relative to a 52-week range of $24.39-$58.64. The company’s board announced it would be exploring strategic alternatives, including the potential sale of the company.

News Corporation (NASDAQ: NWSA) is up 2.5% on heavy volume to $15.35, relative to a 52-week range of $11.91-$18.35. Shares of Rupert Murdoch’s company are up after falling more than 6% yesterday.
