Facebook will always face competition from other sites which vie for the limited number of hours people can spend online. These include news, entertainment, and service sites.
The world’s largest social network, which is expected to reach one billion members later this year and launch an IPO of as much as $100 billion, has added to the features that should hold its users at the site for longer periods.
New timeline apps are now available from Foodspotting, Foodily, Ticketmaster, Pinterest, Rotten Tomatoes, Pose, Kobo, Gogobot, TripAdvisor, and others. You can now enhance your timeline with apps that help you tell your story, whether you love to cook, eat, travel, run, or review movies.
Food, travel, and entertainment, it appears, are the next target of Facebook’s attack to mold user loyalty.
