GM told the WSJ that its expects to make a $10 billion profit for the next several years. That will not hold if Toyota, VW, and Ford have any say in the matter. For GM to reach its goal, it will have to hold a market share of 20% in the US market, which is currently among the world’s most competitive. It will have to solve its sales and union problems at Opel in Europe. And, it will have to continue to top the market in China–the world’s largest car market, but one in which growth has slowed
