Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner continues to be beset by construction problems. Supplier and manufacturing issues cause the release of the aircraft to be over five years last. Now, inspectors have found gaps in some of the supports used in the rear of its superstructure. The issue has not been entirely resolved, and could slow the schedule on which the planes are release to customers. This, in turn, could do more to hurt Boeing’s reputation, and, perhaps, its earnings.

Japan Airlines said on Tuesday it no longer expects its first Dreamliner from Boeing by the end of February as a fresh manufacturing glitch is seen adding pressure to an already-tight 787 production timetable.
