The 52-Week Low Club for Wednesday

October 29, 2014: Here are four stocks among the 67 equities making new 52-week lows today.

Barrick Gold Corp. (NYSE: ABX) dropped about 5.3% today to post a new 52-week low of $12.80. The stock’s 52-week high is $21.45. Barrick announces third-quarter results after the market closes today. Trading volume is about 15% above the daily average of around 9.7 million shares traded.

American Realty Capital Properties Inc. (NASDAQ: ARCP) dropped more than 36% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $7.85 after closing at $12.38 on Tuesday evening. Share volume is about 19-times the daily average of around 11 million. The REIT replaced both its CFO and its chief accounting officer today and will restate results back through 2013.

3D Systems Inc. (NYSE: DDD) posted a drop of about 7.2% today to post a new 52-week low of $36.12 against a 52-week high of $97.28. Volume is approaching double the daily average of around 3.2 million shares. The 3D printer maker received some negative comments from a UBS analyst today related to a new 3D printer from Hewlett-Packard Co. (NYSE: HPQ).

Pandora Media Inc. (NYSE: P) dropped to a new 52-week low on again on Wednesday, this time to $18.90. Based on Tuesday night’s closing price of $19.74 (a new low set yesterday) that’s a drop of about 4.3%. The stock’s 52-week high is $40.44. Trading volume is about 10% below the daily average of around 6.8 million shares. The Internet radio company was caught in the whirlwind of negative sentiment for social media companies following Facebook’s earnings release last night..
