May 6, 2016: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 83 equities making new 52-week lows in Friday’s session. NYSE advancers led decliners by nearly 2 to 1 while Nasdaq decliners and advancers were on track to finish the day about even.
Endo International plc (NASDAQ: ENDP) dropped by nearly 42% on Friday to post a new 52-week low at $15.50 after closing at $26.59 on Thursday. The stock’s 52-week high is $88.84. Daily volume topped 6 times the average of more than 7 million shares. The pharmaceutical firm cut its guidance sharply when it reported earnings this morning.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) fell by about 1.5% on Friday to post a new 52-week low of $91.85 against a high of $132.97. The stock closed at $93.24 on Thursday night. Volume was about equal to the stock’s daily average of 38 million. The company had no specific news Friday, but investors apparently continue to worry about smartphone sales volumes.

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA) dropped about 7.2% on Friday to post a new 52-week low of $50.01 against a 52-week high of $72.31. The stock closed at $53.87 on Thursday night. Volume was more than 3 times the stock’s daily average volume of around 6 million shares. Another pharmaceutical maker that caught a cold when Endo sneezed.
Nokia Corp. (NYSE: NOK) posted a new 52-week low on Friday. Shares traded at a low of $5.61, down about 1.4%, after closing at $5.69 on Thursday. The stock’s 52-week high is $7.63. Volume was about 10% above the daily average of around 12.2 million shares. Not much is expected when the company posts first-quarter earnings next week.
