Navient Corp. (NASDAQ: NAVI) dropped more than 14% Thursday to establish a new 52-week low of $12.55 after closing at $14.70 on Wednesday. The 52-week high is $17.95. Volume of around 12.5 million shares traded was more than six times the daily average. The state of Pennsylvania filed suit against the student loan servicing firm today.

NeoPhotonics Corp. (NYSE: NPTN) posted a new 52-week low of $4.93 on Thursday, down nearly 16% from Wednesday’s closing price of $5.86. The stock’s 52-week high is $16.98. Volume totaled around 5.1 million shares, nearly 5 times the daily average. The company announced some restructuring actions this morning as it faces a slowing market in China.

Vipshop Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: VIPS) dropped about 2% Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $8.53 after closing at $8.70 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $16.07. Volume of around 4.4 million was about 40% below the daily average. The company had no specific news.

Avon Products Inc. (NYSE: AVP) dropped about 0.4% Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $2.26 after closing at $2.27 on Wednesday. The 52-week high is $6.96. Volume was around 4.3 million, roughly equal to the daily average. The cosmetics company had no specific news.
