Crypto analyst BarriC recently suggested that XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) could potentially reach $750 if it replicates the extraordinary 500-fold increase seen in 2017 and 2018. This prediction has gained traction in the XRP community on social media platform X, where BarriC has made bold price forecasts for years.

This call resonates with XRP holders who have faced a challenging year. As of October 6, 2026, XRP is trading at $1.50, roughly half of its value from a year ago and about 59% below its peak of $3.65. The idea of a 500-fold increase is particularly appealing after such a price drop.

However, viewed through the lens of market value, this target tells a different story. At a price of $750, the total value of all XRP in circulation would amount to about $47 trillion, which is approximately 27 times the current total market value of Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) at $1.73 trillion. So, what would it take for XRP to reach $750, and how feasible is this prediction?

How BarriC Arrived at His $750 XRP Price Target

BarriC’s prediction is based on XRP’s historical performance. During the bull market from 2017 to 2018, XRP surged from around $0.006 to about $3, a gain of roughly 500x. By applying the same multiplication factor to a recent XRP price of $1.38, he arrived at $750.

BarriC himself cautioned that this prediction is structural analysis, not a promise. His calculations show what a repeat of the 2017 rally might look like, but they shouldn’t be taken as guarantees.

While BarriC’s math is solid, the underlying assumption is questionable. He’s suggesting that a massive gain from a relatively low base can be replicated from a significantly larger base today.

Why XRP’s Supply Turns $750 Into a $47 Trillion Market Cap

Market capitalization is calculated by multiplying a token’s price by the total number of tokens in circulation. A token with tens of billions of units needs considerably more investment to reach a high price than one with just a few million units.

Currently, XRP has about 63.1 billion tokens in circulation, which positions its market value around $95 billion at the current price of $1.50. If XRP rose to $750, its market cap would skyrocket to about $47 trillion. This level of investment would require 27 times the value of every Bitcoin, representing an influx larger than anything ever seen in any market.

The supply of XRP also complicates matters. With a maximum supply of 100 billion tokens, and Ripple holding a significant portion of the remaining 37 billion in escrow accounts that release tokens gradually, each new token release needs a buyer willing to pay the existing price. Thus, $47 trillion could actually underestimate the demand necessary for XRP to hit $750 once more tokens are in circulation.

XRP Has to Reclaim Its $3.65 All-Time High Before $750 Is in Play

Before considering a $750 target, XRP must first surpass its all-time high of $3.65 set in July 2025. This requires an increase of about 143% from the current price of $1.50 to reach that level.

Each successive milestone demands increasingly more investment to achieve. For example, if XRP reached $10, its market cap would reach around $631 billion. A jump to $50 would exceed $3 trillion, surpassing Bitcoin’s entire market value. Even then, the target of $750 remains a staggering 15 times higher.

Should XRP Holders Take the $750 Target Seriously?

In our view, the likelihood of XRP reaching $750 in any foreseeable timeline is quite low. BarriC’s approach—applying historical gains to current prices—can produce dramatic figures, but it doesn’t account for market capacity.

The $750 prediction works better as a speculative thought exercise about 2017 market dynamics than as a practical price forecast. For a clearer perspective, holders can multiply any proposed future price by XRP’s 63.1 billion circulating tokens and compare the result against Bitcoin’s market value of $1.73 trillion. A target that yields a figure far higher than Bitcoin’s value would require unprecedented buying activity not seen in any market.
