A 1,000 XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) investment cost $3,650 in July 2025, when the token traded at its $3.65 peak. The same 1,000 coins cost $1,030 today at $1.03, which is 72% less in over a year. However, XRP did not fall alone, since the crypto market has lost close to half its value since October 2025.
Standard Chartered cut its 2026 target 65% to $2.80 in mid-February but left 2030 at $28, which means the bank reads this drop as temporary. But the bank ties everything above that $2.80 to the CLARITY Act becoming federal law and to XRP ETF inflows above $4 billion, and neither has happened. So what would 1,000 XRP be worth in 2030 if those forecasts hold?
What XRP’s Market Cap Would Be at $5, $12.68, and $28 in 2030

Bitwise builds its forecast around how much of the tokenization market the XRP Ledger captures, and its predictions run from $0.13 to $29.32 by 2030. Its bull case reaches $12.68 on steady adoption, while the top one assumes XRP captures a meaningful share of the global payments and tokenization markets.
Standard Chartered publishes a year-by-year ladder, with XRP at $12.60 in 2028, $19.60 in 2029, and $28 in 2030. Meanwhile, crypto analysts predict $5 as the base level XRP can reach without gaining ground on the rest of the market.
However, supply decides what those prices are worth in total. Ripple releases 1 billion XRP from escrow every month and locks most of it straight back up, which would put roughly 76 billion coins in circulation by 2030. At that supply, XRP would hold a market cap of $380 billion at $5 per coin, $964 billion at $12.68, and $2.13 trillion at $28, more than Bitcoin’s entire $1.3 trillion valuation today.
All three levels depend on how many XRP stop moving, because coins used in a cross-border payment return to the market within minutes, but the ones investors buy and hold leave the tradable supply for years. This means fewer coins are left for buyers to compete over, so the price of each one rises.
Some holders already treat XRP that way, and the US spot ETFs now hold $953.19 million of XRP, which is 1.49% of the market cap after nine months of buying. Evernorth disclosed 473.1 million XRP as of December 31, 2025, bought most of it above $2.36, and has kept the coins through a $233.7 million impairment.
Banks and trading firms have to leave money parked as a deposit when they make big trades, as a guarantee they can cover their losses. That money stays locked up for as long as the trade runs, often for years, and about $2 trillion is tied up that way. If every dollar of it were held in XRP instead and split across 76 billion coins, the price would reach roughly $26. So $12.68 would take about half that pool switching into XRP, and $28 would take more than all of it.
What 1,000 XRP Would Be Worth in 2030

A 1,000 XRP position costs $1,030 at today’s price of $1.03, and what it turns into by 2030 depends on which of the three forecasts plays out.
$5.00
A 1,000 XRP investment today turns into $5,000 if the XRP price reaches $5 per coin, marking a gain of 385%. XRP’s market cap peaked near $210 billion in July 2025, so reaching $5 would mean a $380 billion market cap, about 81% bigger than XRP has ever been.
XRP needs no breakthrough for that to happen, because it holds about 2.9% of the $2.28 trillion crypto market, and keeping that share while the whole market grows to around $13 trillion would raise the price to $5.
$12.68
At $12.68, those 1,000 XRP would be worth $12,680. Anyone who bought at the $3.65 peak in July 2025 would be up 247%, against 1,131% for anyone buying at today’s $1.03.
That price puts XRP at a $964 billion market cap, which means $900 billion of new money has to come in over the next four years, or $225 billion a year. XRP’s ETFs have taken in $1.51 billion in nine months, so the buying would have to run at roughly 150 times its current pace, every year until 2030.
$28.00
The same 1,000 coins turn into $28,000 at $28 per coin, amounting to a gain of 2,618%. Bitcoin absorbed about $1.17 trillion between the end of 2019 and now, with its market cap climbing from $130.4 billion to $1.3 trillion over six and a half years. XRP would have to take in roughly $2.06 trillion by 2030 to match the $28 forecast, which is about 76% more than Bitcoin took in and in four years.
Which XRP Price Is Most Realistic by 2030?
A $5,000 outcome is the most likely of the three, because it only needs XRP to keep the share of the crypto market it already holds while that market grows. Everything above it needs coins to leave circulation faster than they are leaving now, and nine months of ETF buying has taken 1.49% of the supply off the market.
That said, if the CLARITY Act clears the Senate in September and institutions start holding XRP as collateral instead of moving it through, $12,680 becomes reachable by 2030. Reaching $28,000 would take the whole $2 trillion collateral pool moving into XRP, which is a bigger shift than anything the crypto market has seen so far.
