XRP ETFs Took In Just $4.3 Million in a Week. Could WisdomTree’s Fund Change That?

XRP ETFs are sitting on billions in investor capital while the coin bleeds value, and a pending SEC decision on WisdomTree's fund could either reignite interest or reveal just how little a new product matters when the underlying asset keeps…

U.S. spot XRP ETFs (CRYPTO:XRP) recorded only $4.3 million in net inflows from October 19 to 22, 2026, with no new money on October 23. Compared with the $1.48 billion these funds manage, this week’s inflow represents about 0.3% of total assets—essentially a drop in the bucket for XRP ETF investors.

This slow week coincides with WisdomTree (NYSE:WT) awaiting a decision from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on its own spot XRP ETF, the last significant XRP ETF deadline in October. Could the introduction of another major fund entice investors to re-engage?

XRP ETF Inflows Stalled After a Week of Outflows

Below them, a silver cryptocurrency coin with the Ripple (XRP) logo and text around its edge, including 'XRP', 'SCALABLE', 'DISTRIBUTED', 'STABLE', 'RELIABLE', and 'SECURE BORDER PAYMENTS', is prominently displayed. The coin is centered beneath the 'ETF' tiles.

Net inflows measure the new money entering a fund minus any money exiting. According to SoSoValue, spot XRP ETFs saw little movement during the week of October 19. The week before, these funds experienced $1.8 million in net outflows, highlighting a shift from a small loss to a slight gain. This suggests investors may be on the sidelines rather than jumping back into buying.

With five spot XRP ETFs already trading in the U.S., demand remains limited. XRP’s price has a significant impact on this. XRP trades around $1.28 and has fallen 16.2% in the past month and 30.1% in 2026. Over the past year, XRP’s value has dropped 48.8%, and it trades 64.9% below its July 2025 record high of $3.65.

Why $1.80 Billion Went In but Only $1.48 Billion Remains

Since their launch, spot XRP ETFs have attracted a total of $1.80 billion in net inflows. Yet these funds now hold only $1.48 billion in assets, leaving a gap of about $322 million.

This discrepancy largely reflects the declining price of XRP. Since spot ETFs hold XRP directly, their value fluctuates with the coin’s price. A significant portion of the capital flowed into these funds when XRP traded at much higher prices, so the coins purchased then are now worth considerably less.

For perspective, XRP traded near $2.51 a year ago—almost double its current price. Investors who bought XRP ETFs at those higher levels now face significant paper losses, which likely contributes to their hesitation to reinvest.

Coinbase Shares Are Also Feeling the Chill

Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN | COIN Price Prediction), the largest crypto exchange in the U.S. and the main custodian for most U.S. spot crypto ETFs, is facing similar challenges. The stock closed at $164.45 on October 23, down 2.7% for the day and 27.3% year to date.

In its second-quarter 2026 report, Coinbase reported revenue of $1.22 billion, down 18.5% from the previous year and short of analyst expectations of $1.29 billion. Assets on its platform shrank from $294 billion to $246 billion over the past quarter, partly due to ETF outflows.

While Coinbase’s share of crypto trading volume reached a record 10.3%, total crypto spot trading volume fell by 25% from the previous quarter. As a result, gaining a larger share of a shrinking market didn’t compensate for the overall decline. In response, Coinbase has relied more on stable subscription and services revenue, which generated $555 million—48% of net revenue—and is projected to be $500 million to $580 million in the third quarter.

During the July 30 earnings call, Brian Armstrong, then-CEO, emphasized the importance of offering a comprehensive range of products, saying a diverse set of offerings creates opportunities when new trends emerge. The potential introduction of more XRP funds reflects this strategy. However, as fund assets increase, so do custody fees, which rely on both investment flows and market prices.

Can WisdomTree’s XRP ETF Boost Investor Interest?

WisdomTree’s upcoming ETF could make investing in XRP more straightforward, but it’s unlikely to significantly boost investment flows on its own. ETF inflows often track XRP’s price and overall investor demand more than the number of available funds. WisdomTree has not disclosed the fund’s fee or launch date, and adding a sixth ETF might only give investors another way to access the same asset from a familiar brand.

Future inflows may depend on several factors, including the SEC’s decision on WisdomTree, weekly SoSoValue flow trends, consistent positive inflows, and whether XRP can maintain its value above $1.28. If XRP stabilizes and weekly inflows trend upward, a new WisdomTree fund could attract early demand. Conversely, if XRP continues to decline, an additional fund might not attract significant new investment.
