If Crypto Rallies 50% Into Year-End, Which Rises Most: Solana, Dogecoin or Zcash? Grok AI Ranks Them

Grok AI just ranked three major cryptocurrencies by their upside potential in a 50% market rally, and the winner is not the one with the biggest name or the largest market cap.

In a recent analysis, Grok, the AI chatbot from xAI, evaluated Solana (CRYPTO:SOL), Dogecoin (CRYPTO:DOGE), and Zcash (CRYPTO:ZEC), a privacy-centric cryptocurrency that can conceal transaction senders. This assessment is based on how much each could rise if the entire cryptocurrency market rallies 50% by the end of 2026. Grok ranked Zcash first, followed by Solana, with Dogecoin last.

The crypto market is currently valued at $2.73 trillion. If Grok’s scenario plays out, that figure could rise to about $4.11 trillion by December 31, 2026. Solana is currently priced at $102, down 13.9% in October, and has fluctuated between $101 and $122 over the past month. Meanwhile, Dogecoin trades at $0.0799, down 15.4% during the same period.

Zcash is trading at $1,347, up 6.0% in the last 24 hours and up 163.6% year to date. So which cryptocurrency has the best chance of gaining significantly, and how realistic is this ranking?

What Grok’s Targets Would Do to a $1,000 Investment

Grok estimates future prices of $148 for Solana, $0.108 for Dogecoin, and $2,365 for Zcash, translating to potential gains of approximately 45%, 35%, and 70%, respectively. A $1,000 investment would buy about 9.8 SOL, 12,500 DOGE, or 0.72 ZEC, which could grow to roughly $1,451, $1,350, and $1,700 if these targets are achieved.

Although Zcash at $2,365 would still be below its 2016 all-time high of $3,192, it would need to surpass its recent peak of $1,653, set on September 26. Grok assigns Zcash a 22% chance of reaching a new record, the most favorable of the three, because it has less ground to cover.

For Solana to reach $148, it would still fall short of the $194 it hit today. Its highest price of $293 would require an approximately 189% gain, leading Grok to assign it a mere 12% probability.

Dogecoin faces the toughest challenge, needing an approximate 825% increase to reach its May 2021 peak of $0.7316. Grok assigns only a 3% probability to this scenario, partly because Dogecoin has no maximum supply, so the coin keeps being produced. Market value also plays a role: Zcash ranks 10th at $22.92 billion, Dogecoin trails at $12.51 billion, and Solana ranks 7th at $59.97 billion.

Solana ETF Inflows Shift to Outflows

A spot ETF that trades on stock exchanges and holds actual cryptocurrency has seen declining interest. Cumulative net inflows into U.S. Solana spot ETFs fell to $1.51 billion by October 28, down from $1.62 billion on September 29. Only a handful of days in that timeframe saw fresh investment, with the largest single-day outflow of $19.2 million occurring on October 27.

By comparison, Dogecoin’s ETFs are relatively small, with net assets of $14.4 million as of October 13, reinforcing Grok’s assessment that Dogecoin is likely to lag behind.

The Fed’s Rate Path and Bitcoin’s Grip Could Shift the Ranking

Recently, policymakers maintained the benchmark interest rate between 3.75% and 4%. Lower borrowing costs typically favor riskier assets, so a rate cut during the Fed’s December 2026 meeting could stimulate a rally. Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) currently represents 59.4% of the total crypto market value, and when Bitcoin’s share is high, it can divert funds away from smaller coins, potentially leading to less growth than Grok predicts.

Zcash already shows positive momentum, having risen 194.7% over the past 90 days from $457 on July 31. It trades above its 50-day moving average of $1,306, although it remains below Grok’s starting price of $1,391. Thus, reaching the $2,365 target requires a gain of over 70%.

Which Coin Could Rise Most If Crypto Rallies 50%?

Grok’s rankings seem well-founded, with Zcash likely to outperform and Dogecoin to lag. However, a 50% market rally by December 31 seems unlikely. Solana is seeing outflows from its ETFs, while Solana and Dogecoin both declined in October.

Solana would first need to clear its 50-day average of $109 and its high of $122, with ETF inflows above $1.62 billion, before Zcash can push past $1,653 toward $2,365. A smaller 20% rally fits current trends better, and Grok predicts $120 for Solana, $0.09 for Dogecoin, and $1,808 for Zcash. If that also falls short, Zcash has the most to lose, since its 200-day average of $725 trails well below its price.
