Best Buy Promotes Outlet Pricing for New Year

Clearance pricing on certain electronic gear at Best Buy Co. Inc.’s (NYSE: BBY) online outlet store may be too good to pass up, especially if what the company has on offer is something you’ve been thinking about buying for a while.

For example, want to get a remote starter for your car so you don’t have to bundle up just to trudge outside, fire up the car and then trudge back inside while the car warms up? Best Buy’s deal of the day for Saturday is a Viper digital remote starter system (VSS4X10B) with installation included for $299.99, a savings of more than 50% off the regular price of $607.97. The offer notes that additional parts and labor for installation “typically ranges from $10 to $300.” The company’s Geek Squad handles the installation at your local brick-and-mortar Best Buy store.

For a low price on an older model tablet, a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 with 8 gigabytes (GB) of memory, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE from Sprint (SPH-P500TSASPR) is selling for $149.99, a savings of $300 from the original price.

A Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro two-in-one touch-screen laptop with 8 GB of memory and a 512 GB solid-state drive (Yoga 3 Pro – 80HE011XUS) is on sale for $999.99, a savings of $300 from the regular price. For a bigger bargain, an open-box device is available for $250 less, and the same laptop is available for $699.99 in a version with a 256 GB solid-state drive (Yoga 3 Pro – 80HE011WUS). The open-box 256 GB laptop is available for $524.99.
