For Target, like for most big-box retailers, the holidays are the most important time of the year. The company added 100,000 employees across its American locations this year to meet demand.
However, the company announced in November a disappointing fourth-quarter outlook, especially when compared to major competitors Amazon and Walmart’s promising holiday season projections. In an attempt to make up some ground, Target is offering significant deals on a number of high-demand tech products, including 20%, 30% and even over 40% discounts on some relatively current and in-demand tech gifts.
Products by the biggest names in tech — including Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, Apple, Amazon, Samsung, Google, Microsoft, Samsung, and Sony — are on sale in stores and at Target.com. Based on a projected item’s popularity as a holiday gift and its discount at Target, 24/7 Wall St. listed here the 20 best tech deals at Target.
Customers with different needs and tastes can find deals on tech gifts at Target. They range in price from high-end items like laptops and televisions, to mid-range electronics like smart home devices and speakers, to much less expensive items that can be bought for less than $50 like streaming devices and e-readers. The most expensive item on this list, the Apple iPad Pro 10.5, has a final price of $650, while the cheapest, the Google Home Mini, costs $29.
24/7 Wall St. reviewed a number of third-party sources as well as Amazon.com’s section of items commonly bought as gifts to identify hundreds of tech gifts projected to be popular this holiday season. Using Google’s Keyword Planner, we identified the search terms that Google projects will be most popular from December 11 through December 25. We then identified the largest discounts for each item offered at Target. All deals listed represent data collected as of 12/15/2017.
