6. Dark Harvest

“Dark Harvest” was named one of the 100 Best Novels of 2006 by Publishers Weekly. It tells the spooky story of a town’s legendary monster, which is called a variety of names, including Sawtooth Jack. Every year around Halloween, the monster appears and one boy in town makes it his mission to conquer the horrifying legend, even if it means death.
7. Dear Zoe

“Dear Zoe” was the debut novel for Phillip Beard. It tells the story of a sister named Tess as she writes a letter to her late sister, Zoe, who recently passed away in a tragic car accident, which coincidentally took place on 9/11. Tess must deal with her grief during adolescence at the same time as the nation grieves, while also coming to terms with growing up.
8. Death on the Nile

> Based on: “Death on the Nile” (1978) by Agatha Christie
This detective drama mystery is a story of love and betrayal when a young beautiful girl is found murdered while travelling on a recreational cruise. The 1978 British film adaptation of the novel was nominated for Best Foreign Film at the Golden Globes, and it won best costume design at the Academy Awards.
9. Deep Water

> Based on: “Deep Water” (2003) by Patricia Highsmith
The 1957 novel is a psychological thriller that tells the story of a married man who accepts his wife’s affairs in order to keep his family together. But murder complicates their strange arrangement, and things start to go haywire. The movie will be released in January of 2022.
10. Escape from Hat

The children’s novel tells the story of a fortunate bunny, an evil cat, and one unlucky young boy as he journeys to find a heartless magician who causes chaos in the boy’s life. The motion picture will be directed by Mark Osborne, known for his Oscar-nominated work with children’s movies “Kung Fu Panda” (2008) and “Little Prince” (2015).
