21. Pinocchio

By now, most people know the story of Pinocchio, a puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy. The story was originally written by Italian writer Carlo Colladi and is well known for its classic Disney adaptation released in 1940. The 2022 remake will be a live-action adaptation.
22. Rainbow

The 1900 fantasy children’s novel “Wonderful Wizard of Oz” tells the story of Dorothy and her journey through a magical land filled with talking scarecrows, tin men, witches, and more. The book has been adapted numerous times, most famously the 1939 classic starring Judy Garland. The 2022 Spanish film “Rainbow” is a free adaptation of the novel and tells the story of a modern day Dorothy as she faces the challenges of growing up. It will be distributed by Netflix.
23. Redeeming Love

The novel by Francine Rivers is a historical romance set during California’s Gold Rush in the mid 1800s. It tells the story of a woman who seeks to discover love after being sold into prositution as a child and is based on the Bible’s story of Hosea and Gomer.

This Norwegian film is a modern fairy tale based on a popular young adult series. It will tell a contemporary, royal love story about learning to live with mistakes, facing your fears, and dealing with online fame.
25. She Said

The American drama film is based on the true story of two New York Times journalists who exposed Harvey Weinstein’s history of sexual misconduct and abuse. The book of the same name won a Pulitzer Prize for its catalytic role in the #MeToo movement.
