Yahoo!'s Silly New Program (IBM)(YHOO)(GOOG)

Investors would think that after all the talk about Yahoo! getting more focused it would not come out with more inane products.

IBM and Yahoo! announced that they will jointly market a package that, as the Wall Street Journal says is made “for searching the Internet with a stripped-down version of a product that IBM sells companies to help their employees conduct searches of internal computer files”

Of course, Google already has a competing product The company charges $2,000 to $10,000 for the product. But, if the Yahoo! product makes any headway, Google is bound to offer the program for free just like it does almost all of its other products.
