CLOSING BELL
U.S. Markets
  • S&P 500-0.45%
  • Dow Jones Industrial Average-1.19%

The Dow shed 622 points, a 1.2% drop that ran nearly three times deeper than the S&P 500's slide. Selling concentrated in old-economy blue chips while the broader index held most of its ground.

Cramer is reading Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's hawkish tone as an immediate hit to bank stocks, and rate-sensitive financials are the first place that repricing shows up.

Crushing the financials as Warsh seemed pretty severe... Holy cow, he's a taskmaster.

An 8.5% single-session slide to $68.11 knocks roughly $2 billion off the chipmaker's market value, and moves that size are rare for this name. The $74.42 open is now the level bulls need to reclaim.

Cuprina priced its Nasdaq IPO at $1.15, raising about $5 million

The Singapore wound care company priced at $1.15 a share, raising roughly $5 million, a micro float in a nano cap with a $1.6 million market value. R.F. Lafferty is the sole underwriter, so liquidity on day one will be thin and moves can be violent.
