The S&P 500 added 71.41 points, or roughly 0.94%, to settle at 7,663.20, building on a previous close of 7,591.79. Buyers spread their conviction across large-cap value and technology names alike, giving the session the character of a broad risk-on day.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average kept pace, closing up about 1.01%, while the Nasdaq Composite led the trio with a gain of approximately 1.07%. That degree of alignment across indexes with very different compositions (cyclicals-heavy Dow, growth-heavy Nasdaq, and the blended S&P 500) points to widespread participation across the market.

The S&P 500 held comfortably in positive territory throughout the session, with gains fluctuating mostly between 0.75% and just over 1%. The index never seriously threatened to give the advance back, which tends to reflect a market where sellers are not eager to step in front of the buying.

With the S&P 500 now above 7,660 and the Dow past 52,500, both benchmarks are sitting at levels that will draw attention as potential areas of near-term consolidation or continuation. A close with this kind of breadth gives bulls a cleaner foundation to work from heading into the next session.
