AMC Entertainment stood apart from the rest of the session's movers, finishing up 10.88% to close at $3.26. No other stock on either side of the ledger came close to a double-digit move, making the theater chain the undisputed outlier of the day.
The story on the downside was heavier in both breadth and magnitude, with five names closing off more than 6% and Arm leading the retreat at -8.48%. DoorDash and Qualcomm also fell sharply, meaning chip and consumer-tech names absorbed the session's worst selling pressure.
Among the session's gainers, Palo Alto Networks was the next strongest after AMC, rising 4.47% to $391.51. Rubrik, GoPro and IDEXX Laboratories also finished higher, with orderly gains that underscore just how much AMC's move stood out.
Archer Aviation and Duolingo rounded out the losers, falling 7.58% and 6.57% respectively. The clustering of large losses on the downside, against a relatively calm group of gainers, signals that selling conviction was far stronger than buying conviction across the session as a whole.
