Archer Aviation has shed more than two-thirds of its value from the $13 range it traded at a year ago, arriving at a fresh 52-week low of $4.07.
The new low breaks through the previous 52-week bottom, which often brings fresh selling pressure as stop-loss orders trigger and momentum traders step aside.
Archer remains a pre-revenue, development-stage builder of electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, so it absorbs the sharpest losses when investors rotate away from speculative names.
For anyone holding or watching the stock, the question is whether $4.07 marks a floor or simply the latest stop on the way lower.
