Arista Networks reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $3.66 billion, beating the analyst consensus of $3.33 billion by roughly 9.7% and marking the fastest year-over-year revenue growth the company has posted since its IPO. The 58.5% year-over-year gain was driven primarily by product revenue, which climbed to $3.19 billion from $1.91 billion a year earlier as customers accelerated spending on AI networking infrastructure.
Non-GAAP earnings per share came in at $1.20, clearing the $1.08 estimate by 11.23% and extending Arista's streak of consecutive EPS beats to six straight quarters. Operating leverage held even as research and development spending rose to $486.9 million, with non-GAAP operating margin expanding to 49.1% from 48.6% a year ago.
CEO Jayshree Ullal described it as "another momentous quarter with the highest year-over-year revenue growth since our IPO and record profitability, surpassing even my high expectations," and cited "increased relevance for the generative and agentic AI era" as the driver of broad momentum across customer segments. Net income reached $1.56 billion, up 82.9% year over year, aided in part by a $134.5 million gain on strategic investments that also lifted GAAP diluted EPS to $1.22.

For the fourth quarter of 2026, management guided revenue to $3.9 billion to $4.0 billion and non-GAAP diluted EPS to $1.26 to $1.30, both above what analysts had modeled heading into the report. Non-GAAP operating margin for Q4 is expected in the 48% to 49% range, suggesting the company expects profitability to hold near current elevated levels even as it invests in new AI networking products.
On the product side, Arista introduced open Ethernet liquid-cooled rack-scale architectures including the Etherlink SU-144, capable of connecting up to 144 accelerators per rack in a single hop and scaling to 1,024 XPUs across racks. The company is also pursuing a scale-across distributed AI fabric strategy using the Arista 7800 AI Spine that it says can support networks of up to one million XPUs, with open-standards development work done alongside partners including AMD, Arm, Broadcom, Meta, Microsoft, and Qualcomm.
Investors will want to monitor how quickly that guidance range translates into actual bookings, particularly given risks the company flagged including customer concentration among a limited number of large buyers, escalating U.S. tariffs and retaliatory countermeasures, and reliance on a predominant merchant silicon vendor. GAAP gross margin did narrow slightly to 63.6% from 64.6% a year ago, a figure worth tracking if component costs or product mix shift further in coming quarters.
