Bloom Energy opened 7.79% higher, the widest move in a 383-stock board where nothing else on either side cleared 6%. Energy names sit on the losing end, with iQIYI the weakest at -4.81% and still under a dollar.

Bloom Energy's 7.79% gain at the open on September 29 stood alone across a 383-stock board. The next closest gainer, Royal Caribbean Cruises, opened up 5.99%, meaning nothing else on either side of the ledger cleared 6%. That kind of separation at the bell signals concentrated buying pressure.
The rest of the gainer board was orderly by comparison, with Applied Materials, Vertiv and Corning all opening up around 3% to 4%. Those are meaningful moves on their own, but the gap between them and Bloom Energy makes clear this was a single-name story.
The losing side told a different story about energy and consumer names. iQIYI was the weakest name on the board, off 4.81% and trading below a dollar. Anheuser-Busch InBev slid, and oil-services names Schlumberger and Equinor both dropped, pointing to rotation away from traditional energy exposure.
British American Tobacco rounded out the decliners, off 2.51% to $54.65. The clustering of energy and commodity-linked names on the losing side while a clean-energy name like Bloom Energy led all gainers is a noteworthy split worth tracking as the session develops.
