DraftKings was the session's sharpest casualty, opening at $16.63 for a loss of nearly 29%. That placed it roughly 40 percentage points below IREN, the morning's top gainer across the 379-stock board, an unusually wide spread that signals the day's winners and losers were moving in entirely different directions.
Semiconductor equipment names led the gainers, with Lam Research opening up 9.25% alongside advances in KLA and AMD. The strength ran across the chip supply chain.

Travel also caught a bid at the open. Airbnb rose 9.19% to $186.18, the second-largest gain on the board and a sign that consumer-facing names benefited from whatever tailwind was pushing semis higher at the same time.
The damage beyond DraftKings was concentrated but severe, with Axon Enterprise down 18.81% and Natera, Lyft and Opendoor Technologies also lower. Three names on the losers list fell more than 15%.
