Friday's close produced one of the wider single-session spreads in recent memory across a 378-name priority list, with the gap between the top gainer and the worst loser stretching more than 41 percentage points. That kind of range in a single session signals unusually fragmented sentiment, where specific stock stories rather than a broad macro tide drove the action.
On the winning side, IonQ led at a 20% gain, closing at $31.99. IREN followed at 18.6% with a close of $21.68, while Cipher Digital added 16.86% to reach $6.52. Coherent rounded out the top gainers with a 14.19% move to $192.91, and NuScale Power climbed 13.28% to $4.99.

The selling was just as sharp in spots. Opendoor Technologies fell 21.35% to close at $1.40, and DraftKings dropped nearly as far, losing 20.89% to settle at $18.52. Axon Enterprise shed 18.44%, closing at $313.07. Having two names drop roughly a fifth of their value in the same session, alongside a third down nearly as much, is a concentration of large-cap losses that stands out even on a volatile day.
Expedia and Asana posted more contained declines of 5.24% and 4.79% respectively, suggesting the damage on the losing side was clustered in a handful of names rather than spread evenly across sectors. Investors will want to track whether the pressure on Opendoor, DraftKings, and Axon carries into the next session or attracts buyers at these levels.
