The Hang Seng ended the session at 3,145.39, adding 20.61 points and holding positive territory for most of the day.

A 2.3-point gap separates Hong Kong from the mainland: the Hang Seng advanced 0.66% while the SSE Composite dropped 1.67%, a split that reflects how differently offshore and onshore investors are reading Beijing's current stimulus posture.
