Today, October 26, is the ex-dividend date for Paychex, so investors holding shares at the close are entitled to the $1.19 per share payment landing November 25.
The payout dwarfs the other companies going ex-dividend on the same day: Value Line is distributing $0.35 per share, payable November 10, and FVCBankcorp $0.07 per share, due November 16.

DeFi Development also goes ex-dividend today at $0.00516 per share, and settles fastest of the four with payment on October 27.
For investors tracking dividend income, the ex-date is the cutoff that matters. Anyone not holding shares at today's close will forfeit this cycle's distribution across all four names, regardless of when they buy in afterward.
