Q3 earnings season front-loads everything into two mornings: JPMorgan, Goldman, Wells Fargo, Citi, UnitedHealth and Johnson & Johnson all report before the open Tuesday, with Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, BlackRock and ASML following Wednesday. Of 51 companies on the week, 38 land before the bell, so the tone for rates, credit and chip demand gets set early.

Tuesday morning, October 13, is the most consequential single session of the early Q3 earnings season. JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, UnitedHealth Group, and Johnson & Johnson all report before the open, giving investors a read on banking health, credit conditions, and managed-care margins at the opening bell.

Of the 51 companies reporting this week, 38 drop their results before the bell. That front-loading sets the market's early tone on interest-rate sensitivity, loan demand, and consumer spending across two compressed mornings, leaving little room to adjust positions between reports.

Wednesday, October 14 adds another layer with Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, and BlackRock all reporting before the open, alongside ASML Holding. ASML's results will be closely watched as a real-time gauge of semiconductor equipment demand, a data point that ripples across the chip supply chain well beyond the company itself.

Progressive Corporation also reports Wednesday morning, giving investors an early insurance-sector read to pair with UnitedHealth's numbers from the day before. Domino's Pizza and Albertsons round out Tuesday's slate, offering a ground-level view of consumer spending on food both at home and away from it.

After-market results are comparatively thin, with only 13 companies reporting after the close across the full week. AZZ Inc. is the only named company on that list for Tuesday evening. Investors wanting the broadest picture of Q3 trends should be positioned before Tuesday's open.
