Target posted adjusted earnings per share of $4.11 for fiscal Q2 2027, well above the $2.33 consensus, though $994 million in pretax IEEPA tariff refunds added $1.65 per share.

Excluding that one-time benefit, underlying earnings still exceeded estimates, with comparable sales up 3.8% on stronger store traffic.

All six core merchandising categories grew year over year, with Hardlines posting double-digit comparable growth.
