Upbound Group posted adjusted non-GAAP EPS of $1.01 for the third quarter of 2026, beating expectations, with revenue also clearing estimates despite a slight year-over-year decline.

The revenue dip traces to a deliberate pullback at Acima, the company's virtual lease-to-own platform, where tighter underwriting standards improved the lease charge-off rate. That trade-off helped drive consolidated operating cash flow up 81% to $163.1 million.

Brigit was the quarter's growth standout, with fintech segment revenue up 36.6% year over year and a larger paying user base. Rent-A-Center recorded its fourth consecutive quarter of same-store sales growth, and a new agreement makes Acima the preferred lease-to-own solution across roughly 5,000 Boost Mobile stores heading into 2027.

Management raised the midpoint of its full-year 2026 non-GAAP EPS guidance and expects full-year free cash flow of at least $250 million, with authorization to repurchase up to $50 million of its common stock.

A tighter credit posture, surging cash generation, and a guidance raise point to underlying business improvement that is compounding. Upbound has beaten EPS estimates in each of the past eight quarters.
