Revenue comes mostly from regulated electricity distribution, followed by water and natural gas distribution. Commodity costs are largely passed through to customers.

AQN completed the sale of its approximately 64% stake in Chilean water utility Suralis on October 30, 2026. That leaves the company concentrated in North American and Bermudian regulated utilities as it pursues a simplified, pure-play utility strategy. It has also announced its intention to redomicile its incorporation to the United States. Updated
