ARMOUR Residential REIT, Inc. (NYSE: ARR) is a mortgage REIT that invests primarily in fixed rate, adjustable rate, and hybrid adjustable rate residential mortgage-backed securities issued or guaranteed by U.S. Government-sponsored enterprises (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac) or guaranteed by the Government National Mortgage Association (Ginnie Mae). The company deploys leveraged capital into Agency MBS markets to generate net interest income, using repurchase agreement financing and interest rate derivatives (swaps and Treasury futures) to manage interest rate risk. ARMOUR is externally managed and advised by ARMOUR Capital Management LP, an SEC-registered investment advisor. A significant portion (approximately 49.8%) of the company's repurchase agreement financing is provided by affiliated broker-dealer BUCKLER Securities LLC, in which ARMOUR holds a 10.8% equity interest. The company's portfolio as of September 30, 2026 totaled approximately $21.3 billion, heavily concentrated in 30-year fixed rate conventional Agency MBS pools across a range of coupons, supplemented by Agency CMBS, TBA forward contracts, and U.S. Treasury positions used for hedging purposes.
