About McDonald's
McDonald's Corporation is the world's largest global foodservice retailer, operating and franchising McDonald's restaurants across more than 100 countries with over 45,000 locations. Approximately 95% of its restaurants are franchised to independent local business owners, making it a heavily franchised business model designed to generate stable and predictable revenue streams primarily from rent and royalties. The company's revenues consist of fees from franchised restaurants (including rent and royalties based on a percent of sales), sales from company-owned and operated restaurants, and other revenues from technology platform fees and brand licensing for consumer packaged goods. McDonald's operates through three reportable segments: U.S., International Operated Markets (including markets such as Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, and the U.K.), and International Developmental Licensed Markets & Corporate (including China, Japan, Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia, and others). The company is executing its Accelerating the Arches growth strategy, which focuses on maximizing marketing, core menu items, digital engagement, delivery, drive-thru innovation, and restaurant development. McDonald's runs one of the world's largest consumer loyalty platforms with nearly 220 million 90-day active users generating over $40 billion in trailing twelve-month systemwide sales to loyalty members. The company targets 50,000 global restaurant units by 2028. Updated
AI chips own the board again: 301 comments on AMD lead the day, with Nvidia heating up fast right behind it. Index traders are bullish on individual chipmakers while souring fast on the Nasdaq tracker.
Retail traders are split on the broad market even as it draws 278 comments, the most of any name today, while Tesla, McDonald's, MicroStrategy and SPCX all pull bullish chatter. Sentiment on Google is souring fast.
A trader says his $1 million margin YOLO doubled in two months, and he's answering by piling another $1 million of margin gains into a single de-SPAC name plus Tesla and McDonald's. Max margin turns any drawdown into a forced seller, which is the part these updates never show until it happens.

New 52-week low$233.6-1.2% vs prior low · 2026-09-25
McDonald's just took out its three-day-old 52-week low, closing at $233.60, another 1.23% below that mark. The Dow staple has spent the past six months making lower lows, and $233.60 is the level bulls now need to defend.
No single obsession today: retail traders are arguing over Morgan Stanley, AMD and SPY, piling on McDonald's with 285 comments of complaints, and warming to Chevron. The quieter tell is the rotation, with QQQ chatter heating up fast while Broadcom talk sours.
A 5.1% intraday drop to $237.53 is an outsized day for a defensive blue chip that rarely moves like this, and it lands on the same day management laid out its NEXT strategy at Investor Day. Keep an eye on whether the stock stabilizes near these levels.
A 4.4% slide to $239.31 is an outsized day for a stock that usually trades like a bond proxy, and it landed as management laid out its NEXT strategy at today's Investor Day. Defensive names rarely move like this without a message investors dislike.
New 52-week low$248.48-0.0% vs prior low · 2026-09-16
A second straight 52-week low at $248.48 lands the same day McDonald's announced its 50th consecutive dividend increase, the smallest hike since 2020. Income investors get a higher yield on a stock the market keeps marking down.

About as clear a risk-off tell as a House filing gives you: a sitting appropriator rotated out of megacap tech and a big bank in the same week. The filing shows trims of Alphabet, Apple and JPMorgan on Aug. 20, purchases of defensive names like McDonald's, PepsiCo and Novo Nordisk six days later, plus short duration high yield.
