Did IOT Beat Earnings? Q1 2027 Results
Samsara kicked off fiscal 2027 with a strong quarter, posting Q1 revenue of $478.84 million, up 30.5% year over year and ahead of the $455.17 million consensus by 5.20%, while non-GAAP EPS of $0.17 beat the $0.13 estimate by 30.47%, extending the company's streak of consensus EPS beats to five consecutive quarters. The results were powered by continued momentum in Samsara's Connected Operations Platform, with Annual Recurring Revenue reaching $1.99 billion on 30% year-over-year growth, alongside a meaningful swing to GAAP profitability, with net income of $44.51 million compared to a net loss of $22.12 million a year ago. A $30.33 million arbitration award against Motive Technologies provided a one-time lift, though management noted it expects full-year GAAP profitability even excluding that gain. Non-GAAP operating margin expanded to 19% from 14% a year ago, reflecting improving operating leverage. Looking ahead, Samsara guided full-year FY2027 revenue of $2.01 billion at roughly 24% growth, with non-GAAP EPS of $0.70 to $0.72.
- 31% year-over-year revenue growth driven by subscription expansion
- Net new ARR of $100.7 million, up 30% year-over-year
- Ending ARR of $1.991 billion with 30% year-over-year growth
