Pimco Income Strategy Fund is a closed-ended mutual fund focusing on fixed income investments globally. Managed by Allianz Global Investors and co-managed by Pacific Investment Management Company, it aims for a diversified portfolio primarily in floating rate debt instruments. With an investment strategy that includes fundamental analysis and a top-down approach, the fund targets an average duration of around three years for its assets. Originally known as PIMCO Floating Rate Income Fund, it was established in 2003 and is based in the United States.
